Oh My Grog Flower Vase | Coil Built
This hand built, wide-lipped flower vase is made using the coil technique. Vase was built with a clay that contains a high percentage of grog, which adds a gritty, rustic texture to the piece. This vessel is perfect for showcasing a bouquet of flowers or simply serving as decoration.
The process: Coiling is a hand-building technique used to create pottery by rolling clay into long, rope-like coils and stacking them on top of another. Coils are gently blended together using the fingers. By placing one coil on top of each other, different shapes can be formed.
Vase is irregular/organic in shape. Measurements on handmade pieces are approximate in dimensions as they are irregular and unique. Due to the nature of handmade, I can’t be exact. Uniqueness of each piece is appreciated.
Approximate size: 4.8” diameter x 5.9” high
Dishwasher and food safe.
